Waiting

Today I was watching The Tyra Banks Show and it was an episode about how girls can re-invent theIr virginity. How, even if you lose it for some reason, you can start over. I'm a proud virgin, so when I saw this I was really upset. If you lost your virginity, in your own will, you have to deal with it. Not brush it off and pretend it never happened.

I plan on waiting until marriage to have sex. I know...people will think "Oh, you are so naive! You're just saying this now." But no. I'm committed to saving myself, because I have too much self respect to go and have sex with some guy. Alot of my friends have already started being sexual with their boyfriends. I've seen what happens to them emotionally; crying themselves to sleep, having a reputation for being a "whore", losing self-esteem. I'm not letting that happen to me, so Im waiting until marriage for sex.

New Beginnings

In about two weeks, I'll be riding a bus to school. Not only is it the "first day of school" but it is also the first day of being a freshman. Yes! I will be in highschool. It's a little scary, but at the same time...it's very exciting! Where I live there's a high school and a freshman center. Obviously I'll be going to the freshman campus.
Yesterday was my freshman registration. I felt so confident in my shoulder-length hair extensions and cute dress. I got to catch up with my friends and see my new school. I'm really happy because I have alot of friends in my classes. I don't know how you felt about going into your freshman year...but Im more excited than I am nervous. I have new hair, makeup, clothes, and most importantly I have new confidence.

To everyone who is going into a new school year...whether it's high school, elementary school, middle school, or college; it's not always easy, but in the end it always pays off. Because after my freshman year in highschool, I'll only have three years until I go to college and work on fulfilling my dream.

My hair journey - Part four

So lately I've been switching up my hair routine pretty regularly. I started using Dr.Miracles, then stopped, then used it again, and then stopped....but now I'm back to using it. It's been working very well since I cut off my split ends. I can see a little hair growth, my hair isn't shedding anymore, and my hair is super soft. I love it! As for everything else, Ive been very into the products I've been using since my last post. In the next couple days Ill be getting extensions for yearbook pictures (at registration). I'll keep you guys updated. Pictures of my hair journey will be at the end of my journey. So keep tuning in for those!

Summer Obsession

I am IN LOVE with high waisted mini skirts! They come in such a huge color, shape, pattern, texture, and length variety. My favorites are the floral print ones. I own five of these skirts...three of which are floral print. They're so easy to dress up or dress down and they are so cute and flirty! The really good thing about them is that they can be found almost anywhere; Forever21, Ross, TopShop, Wetseal, Jcpenney, American Eagle, even Wal-Mart! I recommend every girl owning one of these skirts, as they are a staple piece in your closet. Fall will start soon, but Ill be swooping up the sales racks of all these skirts!

5 Days

So as you all know, about three weeks ago I was invited to go to a track meet in Wisconsin. It would be from the 13th of July to the 18th. I was very nervous since I didn't know anyone except Derek and his sister. I'm very happy I went. I had an amazing time! I made lots of new friends. We went to an aquarium, watched fireworks over Lake Michigan, went to a party, went shopping, and ate out at Golden Corral. It was so much fun! At first it was awkward, but I got to know everyone and had a good time.

The only thing I didn't like were a couple boys there. They kept on making fun of me and calling me ugly. I was a little hurt at first... but then I got over it. Derek was really nice to me. We talked ALOT and flirted even more. He told me I should come back next year since it will be at the beach. And that I should wear a bikini! I hate that I fall for him so fast. Anyway, I will be back next year and I hope he will too. I'm glad I went to Wisconsin. I thought I'd be five days of boredom...but it definitely wasn't. Plus we won the gold at the track meet.
