Project: New Wardrobe

Lately I have been obsessed with getting a new wardrobe for my junior year in highschool and starting fresh with my style.

I've always been into fashion--since the seventh grade--but I could never afford the clothing that I wanted to achieve my own personal style. So this time I'm planning it all out and being smart about it.

I'm thrifting all my old clothes that I no longer wear/like and the wearable, stylish clothing will be sold to Plato's Closet. In case you're wondering why I'm getting rid of my cute clothes, it's because I really want to start fresh. Meaning, if it's been worn dozens of times, it needs to go!

I'm hoping that the clothes I sell to Plato's Closet will be enough for me to add to my bank account and save up for a shopping spree. 

I've made a lot of progress already. I've sorted through my closet and now all that's in there is 66 clothing items that include basics, jeans, shorts, cardigans, shirts, blouses and skirts. It may sound like a lot but it really isn't. Most aren't appropriate for school.

The last thing I have done is bought new clothes to replace all my old ones that I'm getting rid of. A.K.A., a shopping spree.

These were all ordered from Yesstyle.com. I had an amazing experience ordering. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived on the following Tuesday! Can you believe it came from Hong Kong that quick?

I plan to make another large order from them over the summer when their Spring/Summer clothing is available. For now, I'm going to keep saving up to my goal for a new wardrobe for my junior year.

Victoria's Secret. Pretty much anything related to that name. I just purchased the bikini top I mentioned on my last BYOC post and I am SO excited to have that sexy thing on me! I also bought another bikini top, it's a bright pink, polka dotted bikini top that I got on clearance for only $9.99 and it's push up! They had a Thanksgiving promo; free shipping on all U.S. orders (no limits!). Of course I took advantage, got both for only $60. Seriously...I cannot wait for them to get here.

My camera. Remember how excited I was to get my Nikon Coolpix s3000 last year? Well, I'm still excited about it now! It takes great pictures and is really easy to work with. Getting macro shots is kind of a pain but I've gotten used to it and found other ways to make it work.

Swagbucks. What is it you may ask? Well swagbucks.com is a GPT site that allows you to complete offers, play games, use their own search engine, and watch videos for points (but in their case they call the points "swagbucks") once you reach a certain amount of points you get to redeem them for a prize. I normally get Paypal giftcards. I've earned over $50 from this site and I plan on earning  more.

And no matter what anyone says, this is NOT a scam website. It actually works. How do you think I purchased that bikini I just mentioned? Through my earnings on Swagbucks.

Blog templates. I am currently looking for blog designs for my nail polish blog I have. I really like the one above but I am always on the hunt for something even better. This one is from designerblogs.com who has premade templates, customs and free blog backgrounds. I want something as simple as this with accents. This one is perfect. Isn't it just gorgeous? I plan on purchasing in the next couple months.

A bedroom makeover. I actually share a room with my sister but soon they (my brother and sister) will be leaving for college and I will have a room to myself. Finally!

I have never in entire life had my own room. Whether we were in a condo, house, apartment, hotel motel...I always had to share a room with my sister.

So,of course, I am insanely excited to get my own room and also design it.

We rent a town-home so I can't go too crazy but since the walls are white I am basing the room around that. The bed frame, dresser and nightstands will be black. The bedspread/pillows will be black white and purple. There will be purple curtains, a white bench near the window (with purple pillows) and a black rug under the bench (this I'm still considering). Then I will have my computer along the side of one wall and my T.V. directly across from my bed on the dresser. I have a big walk in closet so there won't be a need for more than one dresser.

It's going to be beautiful and of course I will be taking pictures of everything and the process!

4 Current (Random) Obsessions

The more I post on this blog, the more I realize that I might seem crazy to many people.
I obsess over things like you've never seen before.

If I like it one day, I'll probably obsess over it for 10 weeks after that. What's worse is that you'll hear me talk about it a million times before my obsession fades away.

But there are a few things that I've really been in love with these past few months.
Before I get started here, let me warn you, you may find some of these...disturbing. 

Like many nail enthusiast, nail polish is one of the things I love to collect. Not just collect, but wear, organize, and mix together.
Before this school year started, I made a promise to myself that I would give myself a different manicure every week. I am successfully accomplishing that. I've done glitter, patterns, ombre effects, and just simple polished manicures.
Now I patiently wait as I build up my nail polish collection.

I've had a really weird obsession with men's nipples.
Now before you 'X' out of this page for fear of hearing this turn into a sexual desire, let me first explain.
There's something about a man's nipples that is just very sexy. I just want to touch them, play with them, everything! I can hardly explain it, it's just something I've been guilty of for so long.
But they have to be the perfect size.
And of course, I used my boyfriend for this picture.

Water is delicious. It keeps my skin clear, my body healthy, and it keeps me hydrated for practice. I'm sure you'll agree that this is by best obsession so far.

Ever since I got my Snuggie for Christmas I have been attached to it like a 4 year old and a Barbie doll.
I got the zebra print kind, which in my opinion is the softest.
It's seriously the most comfortable thing I have ever laid on. Plus, it's a Snuggie! It's hard not to be obsessed.

I love my bestfriend Sabrina. She bought me all these lovely nail polishes for Christmas. I have a huge obsession with nail polish! At $7.99 each, I am very thankful for this amazing gift. I now have 48 nail polishes in my collection.

 

I call him Oxie. This is the green "Ox" Uglydoll. Oxie is absolutely adorable. I have been obsessed with him ever since I got him about 9 hours ago. He's so soft and cuddly. Thank you Eva, so much. I have just found my new love.

I'm so glad to have friends like these. Friends who will go out and spend money on me to make sure I have something to make me happy. I'm so thankful to have Eva and Sabrina in my life. I love them both so much and my life wouldn't be the same without them. Of course I bought them presents too. But I don't think it meant the same to them. This may be the only good thing I get for Christmas. Money is too tight this year.

You should be thankful for your friends. It's hard to find good ones.
Thank God I have two always by my side.

Summer Obsession

My last summer obsession is the song "Love The Way You Lie". I am obsessed! I love the music video, the meaning of the lyrics, and Rihanna's voice. I also love that Eminem is rapping about life and not "lil mamas gettin crunk". This is an amazing song by Eminem feat. Rihanna. I've been singing it all around school this week!

I could go on and on about why he's my obsession...
His smile is gorgeous, his voice is hot, his eyebrows are beautiful!
His body...makes me want to melt. I could spend hours staring at his perfectly-sculpted abs, and his huge biceps.
If you watch Criminal Minds. Derrick Morgan, his character, is so funny, manly, powerful, and just plain sexy!
He may be 40, but that doesn't stop me! I'll be fantasizing about him even when he's 50...

Summer Obsession

I am IN LOVE with high waisted mini skirts! They come in such a huge color, shape, pattern, texture, and length variety. My favorites are the floral print ones. I own five of these skirts...three of which are floral print. They're so easy to dress up or dress down and they are so cute and flirty! The really good thing about them is that they can be found almost anywhere; Forever21, Ross, TopShop, Wetseal, Jcpenney, American Eagle, even Wal-Mart! I recommend every girl owning one of these skirts, as they are a staple piece in your closet. Fall will start soon, but Ill be swooping up the sales racks of all these skirts!

Summer Obsession

Lately, Ive been in love with Skinny Cow.
Ive been trying to eat healthy for a while and since I finished track, it's been hard.

Yesterday I went out grocery shopping and I got a TON of healthy-ish food.
Including Skinny Cow Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwiches. Only 150 calories and it's low fat!
Perfect for the hot weather of summer. It is currently 92 degrees, thank God it's cloudy outside.

Finally, a conversation.

I told myself that I wouldn't post more than two or three times in a week. But I HAD to post today!

It's about Derek.(remember our talk about the nickname).
Today, at school, we talked. About me liking him, and him making out with my best friend.
He said that he didn't like her and that he wouldn't go out with her. Then I told him that I felt bad for her because she thinks he is in love with her. I told him that he should tell her, because she cant just go around thinking that.
Then the conversation turned to me, and how i liked him. Apparently I was "obsessed" with him. According to Derek one day I am going to have a boyfriend and become so obsessed with him that I wont stop calling him, and texting him and he will end up breaking up with me. Really? Because I rarely talk to Derek.Maybe that's why he never wanted me, he thought I was obsessed with him? I mean, my best friend that he made out with isn't even prettier than me, plus she's not what I'd call "skinny", haha. So that has to be the only reason why he would kiss her and not me. Right?
For the most part, I really enjoyed having a conversation with him. Thats all Ive ever wanted. No matter how pathetic it sounds.

Anyway, we will have to get back to this, this post is getting to be too long. Bye girls!
